This three-week yin yoga series is an invitation for you to slow down, so you can connect to your breath, body, and a deeper sense of self. Practiced exclusively on the floor in seated or supine positions, yin yoga uses your own anatomy, gravity, and time, so you can dive deeply into your connective tissue, increasing your muscles’ suppleness and flexibility. You’ll also be invited to dive into your breath, developing its capacity and focus. And finally, yin yoga offers you an opportunity to look deeply into yourself to explore and perhaps shift patterns of behavior. All poems included.
If you have yoga blocks, blankets, or bolsters, please bring them. If not, you can use bed pillows, books or boxes, towels, or blankets.
