
Blue Banyan offers a variety of classes from Absolute Beginner to Intermediate/Advanced and range from 60 minutes to 90 minutes in length.
Our classes draw from various styles of yoga including Vinyasa, Jivamukti, Viniyoga, Anusara, Ashtanga,and Iyengar. We emphasize proper body alignment and breath awareness while incorporating chakra awakening, chanting, and sacred yoga philosophies into the asana (posture) work.

Jumpstart your day with Morning Glory , a class open to all levels. Morning Glory is devoted to waking up your body, mind and breath. Short but challenging, this class prepares you to meet challenges of the day with ease, efficiency and grace.

Yoga Latte , Moon Dance , and Sun-Day Salutation are designed to allow you to delve into a deep, multifaceted practice. These classes incorporate pranayama (breath work) with the asanas. Play with new ways of moving through asana sequences, connect your breath with your movements and bask in the exquisiteness that yoga offers.
Share time on your mat with family, friends and neighbors in our Sunday Community Class . This open level class celebrates our connection to each other. Teachers rotate weekly encouraging you to experience all that Blue Banyan has to offer.
The primary series of Astanga Yoga is a mindfulness practice designed to therapeutically realign the spine. This is a powerful form of yoga that will serve as a fully intense flexibility and strengthening program for your body, mind, and spirit. With modifications and adaptations, Astanga yoga can be practiced by anyone, at any age or stage in their life. Using Sun Salutations, a series of postures,and a closing sequence, this practice will become a blueprint for healing in your life.
Cosmic Kundalini - Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of awareness. Brought to the west by Yogi Bhajan in 1968, this is a fun and dynamic practice with the goal of relaxation, self-healing, and elevation. These classes incorporate kriyas (exercise sets), chanting, and meditation and are suited for students of all levels. As Yogi Bhajan says, “if all it takes to be a yogi is bending yourself into a pretzel, then all the best yogis would be in the circus.” So, no experience necessary!
Prenatal Classes - Come enjoy prenatal yoga classes designed to enhance your overall health and wellbeing as you move through your pregnancy. This class focuses on learning to relax and trust your body, to prepare for labor and delivery, and to create a spiritual connection with your baby. Pregnancy is a precious journey that guides us to surrender and to embrace the innate power within us. Come reap the benefits of prenatal yoga and to connect with a community of mothers-to-be.

In this energized class, kids lengthen and strengthen their bodies with flowing sequences and balancing postures, while calming the mind with relaxation and breathing techniques. Playful partner poses and fun yoga activities and games help build trust and positive communication.
