As we are coming into late spring and summer is on the horizon, its hard not to notice the wellspring of natures beauty... sweet, bright smells, brilliant shades of greens and pastels, endless different textures of leaves, bark & flowers. Its a time of year when we are bombarded by the Glory of the Divine.
In the Eastern Body thinking there is described a Path of Manifestation (which flows from the Crown Chakra to the Root Chakra) and a Path of Liberation (running from the Root Chakra to the Crown Chakra).
The Path of Manifestation channels energy from the Divine through the body into the manifest world in big and small ways (think both birth but also more mundane activities like washing the dishes). The Path of Liberation moves from the physical world to the liberated world (think death but also meditation/ spiritual engagement).
Both these paths are essential to our existence as well as to the existence of each other; one path does not exist with out the other.
In these days of late spring which celebrate natures abundance we are immersed in the energy of the Path of Liberation; the natural beauty around can be perceived as spiritual expression and things can feel a bit ungrounded as a result... the 'abundance' can become contagious. This can be a glorious time, but it can also feel overwhelming in all of its splendor and 'fullness'.
Perhaps being aware that this uplifting energy can (and is) balanced by Manifestation is helpful; becoming aware of what is manifest, what we manifest and the idea that the Path of Manifestation comes from the Greater Universe but lands in a grounded, physical way around us. So stomp your feet a bit on the ground, perhaps look at 1st chakra practices,
recognize the flowers and natures Glory as The Manifest, and hang on for the ride because Summer is right around the corner.
